Russian (Russkaya) bay is located in the south-western part of Avachinsky gulf. Narrow, deeply indulged into the coast, it is one of the most picturesque marine places in Kamchatka. It is famous for beautiful seascapes, wonderful fishing. On the way to the bay there are rookeries of sea-lions which attract attention of tourists. During the trip it is possible to see majority of birds’ nestlings – cormorants, puffins, ducks, different species of gulls and others. Trip to the Russian bay is especially attractive for fishing amateurs. There are several stops for fishing on the way to the Russkaya bay and every tourist has an opportunity to fish plaice, sea-bass, halibut, cod, etc.
Tour program
The trip starts from the bay Bogorodskoye lake to the rocks Three Brothers . passes by the entrance to the Avachinskaya bay in the direction of Russian bay.
Diver who is on the board of the boat will bring for you from the bottom sea-urchins and tell about good means of their caviar (row) and treat you with delicious sea-product.
The route takes 10-12 hours and starts early morning to admire the sunrise over Avachinskaya bay.
