Within 3 days there is an opportunity to see tremendous consequences of well-known cracker eruptions of Tolbachik volcano of 2102.
For the period of investigations there were registered 7 cracker eruptions, the 6th and the 7th of them happened in Kamchatka in 1975-1976 and 2012-2013 in the region of Tolbachik volcano.
Program
Day 1.
Early departure on jeeps from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatky (550 km) which takes 10-12 hours. On the way there are stops in Sokoch (to try local pies) and in Milkovo for lunch. By arrival to Tolbachik a transfer to “Dead Forest” for camping. Dinner. Walking in to “Dead Forest” .
Day 2.
Breakfast. Departure to the slag Northern cones (6 km by jeep), climbing of one the cones where it is possible to see many-colored minerals. Descending and transfer to the crater “Star” (7 km by jeep). Walking, lava caves. Return to te camp. Lunch. Transfer to the lava stream of 2012. Trekking by melt lava, climbing of the cone Naboka erupted in 2013. Return to the camping. Dinner. Free time.
Day 3.
Breakfast. Return to Petropavlovs-Kamchatsky.
Transfer on comfortable off road car (jeep).
